A physical collectors edition would be magical. Woo cloth map! I seriously hope that this happens.
I'm debating with myself whether I want to get the Windows version, the iPad version or both.
Any chance that there will be a feature that allows us to share save games between different devices? That would make the both decision very very easy for me.
In any event I will be getting the hell out of BG:EE.
Buying from the Beamdog website isn't working for me on any browser. I click on pre-order, I get the price of the game but I can't seem to go any further. I did manage to get the game through the Beamdog launcher but it won't allow me to purchase or gift additional copies. At least I got mine.
Nice!!! I can deal with English perfectly well but since I am Korean, I speak for Koreans as well. I do hope the game supports Korean on the release date!!
@PhillipDaigle IF the collector edition comes out, can we replace our pre-order with the new one, for a boxed version? I mean pay additional $$$ to what we've already paid to receive the boxed edition?
@dru Steam release won't be available for some time (quite long I suppose), boxed copy is unknown for now, pre-order is only available for the users of PC-Mac, as AppStore and Google Play do not support pre-orders. It's not even twice as much, because iPad version is $10 and if you purchase it with PC/Mac version, you can copy your save and play the content with DLCs, so you don't pay twice for those.
@stecava As azurit said. The same way you could download Diablo 3 earlier and play it on release date, but BETTER, because you will play the actual game instead of struggling with overloaded servers.
Try to imagine @gornes what I feel, when I'm waiting for my 10000$ collector's edition with a living hamster, Sarevok's armor, and the freehold of my own keep at the suburbs
Of course I hope I'll get that before the release of BG III :P
I just got to see all the (long awaited) news on the official website, how exciting!! Sadly, as an old school player/consummer, I'll have to wait for the boxed copy though, as I need something I can touch (yeah I know, one has to live with current time but I just can't get into buying mp3 or other totally virtual medias)...
If there's a way to turn the virtual preorder into a box-version adding some addition $, as several persons suggested, that would be cool!

Yes, Overhaul's plan is for save games to be transferrable between all versions.
That is extremely cool. And PC version will released during my uni mid-semester break. Huzzah!
I would like to buy the box version insteed of the digital version. I hope that it will be availabe as soon as possible.
Thanks!
A hungarian fan
@SirZeechalot This is BG1 with additional content i.e new kit, characters and adventures! There is no box set currently but I hope that clears things up
:sigh: Is the icon really worth paying for the game twice (or more, if i have to buy each platform eventually)?
