This news makes me happier than I have been in a long time! I have been waiting for this day (and worried it might never come) since the day I had heard the project was put on hold. I've been playing BG2 frequently, pondering to myself how good the game is but how much better it would be if it were 'Enhanced'. Icewind Dale I & II, as well as Planescape Torment have been popping in and out of my head in 'Enhanced' form as well. Now, it might finally happen - as well as the ultimate goal, BG3!
This feeling I have now must be what it feels like to hear that a dreadful war has come to an end after many, many long years - or to receive news that a long lost relative, thought to be dead, has been found alive.
I will be shedding tears of joy and popping the cork on a bottle tonight with this news. Congratulations to you, Beamdog/Overhaul Games, I do look forward to being one of many who supports your continued progress over the next several years, and hopefully longer.
Randomly checked the front page for any updates on the state of things, same as always. Figured I'd see if maybe, just maybe, there'd be some hint of news on the forums annnnd... found this! I am very pleasantly surprised! Front page still shows the doomy gloomy message for me but meh! BG:EE is back! \o/
