Found this in an old Box

I'm sure many of you have seen this but I was at my moms today and found this gem in a box. The front side is Volo's streets and sights of baldurs gate and the back side is a map of the sword coast.

Also found a bunch of Baldurs Gate manuals and some other nostalgic games from the 90's like Pharaoh, Lords of the Realm 2 and Dust: A Tale of the Wired West

I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get a high resolution photo without the glare, I tried everything but failed miserably Lol. Thought I'd share my find :)

I think I got digital versions of those with the GOG download.

I remember those. For me they made it easier to find where things were in Baldur's Gate (and to a lesser degree the sword coast). Long before there were map markers and all the internet guides that are available now.

    Nice.
I still have all the maps including the cloth one, CD-covers ( and boxes) and the big fat spiral bound game book.
I keep all the stuff from games I like.
And I bought BG 1 and BG ( ToB ) the day they hit the shelves.

I've had my BG1 map on my closet door since like... 2000. In general, I still have all the maps and posters and stuff I got from every game ever.

Except the cloth map I got from the collectors edition of Dragon Age 1.. my dog chewed that up within a day. I held onto it for a year or two but eventually threw it away. Figure I could get a new one off ebay if I ever felt like it.

Still, its always nice to find old cool stuff that was thought lost.

IIRC the Blade & Stars Inn is incorrectly located on the paper version of the city map. I spent ages trying to find it for the fairly necessary poison quest.

Could be I just couldn't read maps aged 13 though...

Yeah that's true but there are 2 sides to it's beauty. Framing it would be an option too but I wouldn't feel right condemning either side to the back

aww i miss mine. I got Baldur's Gate secondhand from my aunt in 98 (i was 11 at the time and thought this was the greatest game of all time ever) and the map didnt last very long. The map, along with 2 of 3 books of the Dark Elf Trilogy and the whole Icewind Dale Trilogy mysteriously vanished a few years after. After 2 moves to this date i have no idea as to their whereabouts.

I still get that nostalgia from Baldur's Gate. ive played the trilogy more hours than any other game combined probably.

Great find! I spent hours digging through the strategy guide to bg2 as a kid, stuff like this is just priceless.

Found this today, although it's all over youtube it's still a priceless gem to me lol

And the guide I've been glued to for the last week or so. The charts in the back of this manual are pure gold

oh, the amount of copies of baldurs gate I have. The first copy I bought was actually the white label box version, it didnt have the manual or the map inside, it was just on one of the CDs (it also had a "patch" CD, lol). I remember the moment well. I had something like £60 to spend after christmas, and I wanted WWF No mercy for the N64. Games for the N64 were £50 (ridiculous I know) so that left me with £10. I randomly picked up the white label version of BG and thought "meh, could be half decent". I spent most of that day playing BG instead of WWF No Mercy, lol

I lost that copy unfortunately :/. Though I have the original boxed versions now, with maps and manuals and all :).
