    Well it has surface (forest) elves on the top. Part of a sun and part of a moon in the middle. On the bottom is a drow. So I guess it has something to do with light vs darkness, good vs evil, and the attack on Suldanessellar serving as a major battleground.

    I don't know why but I always thought of Irencus and Bodhi when they where elves.
    I know it doesn't make sense since Bodhi became a vampire only after they where banished and then Irencus face would be different to ...

    And here, I thought it was
    the mortal and evil-godly parts of the CHARNAME's nature, since at the end of the game, you must make a choice between them, and can only choose one. Which side is which depending on your alignment and choices in-game.
