Dwarf cleric ranger

Hey guys I just started a new playthrough (just messing around til patch) and EE keeper'd him into a dwarf cleric ranger using the new dwarf portrait.

I can't decide who to grab into my party. I almost always have yeslick in my group but my PC will take his spot. Any advice on who to grab? What about weapon profs?

    Get Ajantis,Neera,Imoen(or Coran),and Kagain(or the monk).

    Safana, Coran, Rasaad, Neera and Garrick. You are both healer and ass-kicker. Coran can concentrate as the artillery. Rasaad can spell you when needed. Neera for nuke, Garrick for enchantments and extra missles. Safana for the Coran dialogue.

    A dwarf cleric ranger = a solid tank and a divine caster are covered. So, you need a thief, a mage and a damage-dealer. I'd take Monty, Edwin and Dorn respectively. I really think they are the best in these categories.

    There're two places left and you can choose Faldorn (high-level druidic spells) and Neera (additional magic + hilarious wild surges).

    In BG1 I think AC is VERY important, especially against missile weapons. So, I'd make your character a tank (great saving throws, big amount of HP and good buffs). So give him a shield.

    Stupifier can be considered very powerful and is available early on, so ** in maces. Ashideena is a great weapon, its electrical damage is priceless, so, another ** in hammers. And when your AC will become high, you can put a shield off and take these weapons simultaneously.

    Another ** you can spend on slings - for a variety in battles with melee/missile weapons.
