DLC Idea: Mercenary Company & Stronghold

As title suggests and assuming we live in an ideal world:
1. Within the game and not seperate.
2. Party members that are not being used can be placed in a second adventuring party.
3. They get seperate quests that run concurrent with the main plot.
4. Leading up to aquiring a stronghold that can be aquired by BG2.
5. Party members that were ignored by Bioware can run the stronghold (so remaining lore friendly) and NPC's usually referred to the main party as a mercenary company.
6. Leading up to the player using the stronghold as a resource (similiar to what Jaraxle did with Bregan D'earth).
7. Obviously mercenary company gets hired out, takes on quests - maybe schedule of player in BG2 allowing - and supports player with resources.
Just a random idea inspired by the Project Eternity update. Probably too much work, can't be done for whatever contractual reason or just seen as a crap idea - but thought I'd mention it.

In BG1 is 28 characters:
- 18 coming back in BG2
- 8 is playable in BG2
- 7 is dead ( or will be dead ) in BG2
10 characters what remained, are not interesting.
Nothing against you, but 18 from 28 is sufficient number.
BG2 is in different city and distant area.
Incidental are there all character from Baldurs gate ?
I don't think so.
