Hello everyone,

I've been a member of the forums for quite some time now, but I haven't been very active before recently. What I've began to notice, though, is that the few times I get mentioned in another member's comment, my username is usually misspelled.

Somehow it seems that many of you guys believe my name is "Basilicum", as if I'm some sort of dinner table spice-like substance (often used with pasta). Now, I'm here to dispel(l) this tendency - or trend, if you're all deliberately out to get me - and make it clear to everyone that my name is spelled "Basillicum", with two Ls (in addition to all the other letters).

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.

Best regards,
Basillicum

    What is a Basilli?

My name is spelled meagloth, but I recently discovered that the correct spelling is maegloth. Oops.
I also thought it was sindarian but it turns out to be quena. Oops again.

Nothing as far as I know.

The poor distinction of rendering between capital "i"s and lowercase "L"s on the forum could be improved.

Yeah, I have a similar problem. My name is WRITTEN "Worg", but it is pronounced "turtle". It causes much confusion.

@Awong124, it is a surname, apparently.

    Ew...

@Troodon80 - No, my surname is not Basilli, but I think I see what you're getting at.

Theoretically one would not need to be a member of the family to have some relation with them. A disambiguity could avoid some indignation.
It's also a variation of bacillus, a wand, or the bacteria that resemble a wand shape.

I would probably misspell it megaloth.
