Beamdog VS Steam Version

I heard a while back that the version of steam was not the latest. Is it fix now? Does anyone know the current version of Steam and the current version Beamdog?

And also, does anyone know if for BGII:EE it will be the same thing? Steam version being not update a the same time?

    I'm pretty sure the Steam version is up to date. The game version is on the main menu screen, and you can check these forums to see whatever the latest version is, just to be sure.

    current release version is 1.0.2014

    to get in the open beta I think you have to have beamdog version, expect a huge difference between the beta and the 2014, no telling as of yet when the beta will go to actual release patch

    I believe the Beamdog version will recieve its updates faster.

    still confirmed? I mean, is the latest patch (1.2) applied on steam version too? Moreover, may I move my save game from beamdog to steam?
    Anyway, I've both game versions... :D
