Question on using eekeeper

If I alter the protagonist's race (say from human or half elf to elf), do the appropriate bonuses for an elf (sleep/ charm resistance, shord thaco bonus) appear simply by changing the "race" field? Or are there other parameters that would normally be applied on character creation?

Simply by changing the race, no. When a character is created in-game, it comes with a lot of default affects (as seen in the Affects tab). Some (all?) of these appear to be given by a designated spell (e.g. Cavalier is SPCL221).

I could attempt to try and recreate it. However, you run into all sorts of problems with that. If there are affects given by a certain spell, then Keeper would need to go through all the affects and remove them by resource, Keeper would then need to add the new ones. I'm really not sure how easy or difficult that would be. It would probably require considerable additions.

I'll take a look at it, at the very least, but I won't really be getting a chance until after BG2:EE is here.

IIRC, the racial bonuses are all either hardcoded and applied dynamically at runtime or implemented in other files, so in this particular case, changing the race should be enough.
