Hi Friends,

The Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition media page has more screenshots added to the top of the pile, along with three new music samples and a series of comparison screenshots between the original BG2 and BG2EE.

And later this week, when pre-loading begins: LAUNCH TRAILER!

Have a Happy Remembrance Day and/or Veterans Day! If you don't have a holiday in your country on November 11th, have a happy normal day.

But then you'd have nothing to look forward to between now and Friday

Can we get a rough day for pre-loading? Say, Wednesday? Pre-loading starting on Thursday seems to be cutting it a bit fine in terms of systems crashing from the volume.

That is not a fair comparison. On that analysis character models would look really small on an average monitor, so that you would miss small details. Zoom in and the models will fade. The screenshots of 2000 should be same size as that of 2013 for better comparison

Isn't it a resolution comparison? The original BG2 screens are the game's default screen size.

    Also, is 'Imagons' a word?

ImagOn : A light sensitive photopolymer film used for intaglio plate-making techniques.

at least that's what Google says..

I think it's the new texture filter they used to polish the sprites :P

I suppose it would be nice for them to have BG2:EE alternatives also. It's likely a bit late in the day to have them commission new ones as they'll likely be the portraits BG2:EE launch with. Though I wouldn't say no to alternative portraits being added in the future if they're up for it.

Ok, not to be "that" guy again, but the only difference i see in the screenshots comparison, is that BG2:EE shows more screen because of higher resolution(which in BG is bigger part of the map shown on screen).

Was i supposed to notice something more?

    The UI. :)

Also the areas look crisper and more vibrant, at least to me, but that might be just due to the resolution.

Liking the music samples :) I think neera 02 sounds good! Starts very bg2 then has a bit of an icewind dale feel to it towards the last half.

First image, 2nd row. Calling it now.

You get to sacrifice a companion on one of the new quests and they all have something different to say depending on who it is.
