I'm sadly not ready. Can't afford to buy any games right now. Soon, though.

Heh. I noticed at the start of the week that I probably wouldn't be able to afford it if I waited so I bit the bullet and pre-ordered it then. I was right, money's all gone by now.

On the bright side, if there's any game-breaking bugs at release they'll probably be patched away by the time you get the game.

I was rushing through to have a character ready to import for BG2 but even heavily cheating I don't think I'm going to finish my playthrough before it gets released. I was also kind of relying on Hexxat being neutral even though it was always unlikely (I pretty much cannot stand any of the rogues currently in BG2 other than perhaps Imoen). Think I'll just create a character from scratch, so much less hassle and if there is anything I really miss, editing the save is probably easier anyway.

i just have to get back on to kill sarevok so that is easily done when i get home. don't even suggest importing without killing sarevok! finals bosses must die!

I could be the least readiest of all, but I suspect there's more people like me: I bought BGEE in the pre-sale, but are waiting for NPC1-project to start my first real campaign. And I'm busy with so many other games right now.

Not ready but soon. I just finished the cloakwood mines with my solo sorcerer. Nice thing about the sorc is that it's not gear dependant so I can rush through most areas.

Is there a list somewhere of the minimum quests you need to do to finish the game? I rarely take a character this far and I have no idea what I can skip in BG.

There's probably a list somewhere, but usually it's pretty apparent what the main questline is. When you get to the end of a chapter it usually prompts you toward the next vital portion of the plot. After cloakwood it should lead you to Baldur's Gate where it should become apparent what your next move is.

I started a new game on 11/1, and then got totally side tracked trying different challenges like no reloads, 75 ability points, so on... and it was really fun and I still have a couple characters going. I'm at level 4 and 5, but sadly, I failed my challenges. Made it to level 4 with no reload :) I have my old character but i already played through SOA with that one so I'm not ready, but really glad to have access to BG2:EE

I'm not quite ready yet.. Got to run to the grocery store to buy food and beer for the next few days! :P

I ended up doing a speed run with a Fighter/Mage just so that I'd have a character that went through BG1, got all the tomes useful to him and got all the Bhaalspawn powers, and hit the level cap.

Tempted to go grab the Golden Pantaloons, but not sure I really care that much.

I'm far from ready. I had planned this week as a Baldur's Gate marathon, but it has not really panned out as such. I found the time to roll a few characters. I have a Fighter/Mage, a Mage/Thief, and a vanilla Bard, waiting in the wings. I opted for the F/M and got as far as the outer walls of Candlekeep. So, I literally have an entire playthrough of BGEE ahead.

I haven't really clicked with any of the characters I have rolled. It's a minor concern, as often I shall lose interest in such a playthrough. It's akin to writers block. I can get various ideas down, but none of them appear to have any spark, any intrigue. I have a twinge of hope that perhaps a Beast Master, or an Illusionist/Sorcerer, can provide the answer if my F/M or T/M cannot.

The timing is impeccable for me. Will finish up BG1 in 1-2 hours and may have BGII on standby depending on how fast the rest of it can be downloaded an hour from now!

Not totally finished my homework / re-study of the BG2 NPCs/weapons to look at in priority/most useful thing thing to export (helm of balduran even if not usable immediately for me, claws? not sure.. */ ).. with very few proficiency points to waste till lv24-25..better not messing up..not too sure the strategy/first places to go/subquests to do first in priority..places to go asap, etc..so long times i opened the ori BG2..almost forgot all the 'little' details...where is that damn old txt FAQ, arf.. and those new 4 NPCs to try to integrate too now, at least to see a little their stories..at least maybe 2, arf..well, should be totally ready (strategy-like) maybe saturday/sunday..i did not even expected the DL will launch so early (will really be in the very very beginning of the 15th lol)..anyway, will be totally ready soon *))

I feel you man, I tried to hold out for NPC Project, but with BG2:EE so close, I decided to bite the bullet and do at least one playthrough to have ready for import into BG2:EE. Not like I'm never going to do another full series playthrough anyway, hopefully NPC Project will be ready by that time

Not ready yet. University decided to dump the work of the whole semester into november. Well, the positive side, when i start playing BG2 again, isra and the other npc mods might be finished for bg2.

I'm not ready but hell, I just want to be able to launch and play a while, even with a premade character, cause that's how much I love BG2 ;)
