Anyone else still not ready for BG2EE?

I still haven't finished my BGEE campaign. I've visited all the open areas on the map and completed all the quests that I could. I've completed all of the Tales of the Sword Coast content, and pretty much everything in the city of Baldur's Gate that I really wanted to do (there's so much to do there, I can't really keep up). So now I really just need to move the plot forward, starting by visiting the Seven Suns, and all that. It should be pretty linear from here, but I likely will not be able to finish until Friday, maybe Saturday.

Anyone else out there "not yet ready"?

I do have a 4 day weekend lined up (Friday - Monday) so I ought to get some good BG2EE time in as well.

First time doing a Kensage - I'm ready for BG2EE. 13 hours left!

Nope. But then, I wasn't planning on playing at launch anyway - not without "Ascension".

I'm definitely not ready. I figured I would play Black Pits 2, then start a character in BGEE, and try to speed run through it. Who knows if that'll go as planned though.

isn't ascension supposed to be ready at launch?

There might be a bit of a delay with Ascension (I think some last-minute bugs cropped up), though I haven't spoken to @Cuv today. Just a heads up.

I still have a couple of games that I need to finish.

I am doing a speed run with an undead hunter - the first PC that I am going to play Shadows of Amn with. I am currently in Cloakwood with her.

I am going out on a limb and say there maybe technical issues once that timer hits 00:00 like last time, so at least I'll have something to play while I wait for it to be sorted out. And if there isn't any technical difficulties, at least you'll have one less person spamming the server in an attempt to get it downloaded before anyone else.

    I'll probably be ready Saturday.

Not done with my Eldoth run, who will replace the jester I originally meant to take through BG2 first. I'm in the city, but haven't done much yet.

Not done with the character I do wish to import. It doesn't bother me however seeing as I can probably glide through the rest of the plot in a few hours when I choose to and nothing other than your character itself and its gear gets imported into BGII:EE anyway so there's no need to do everything.

X:EW releases the same day as BGII:EE (was sure it would be on the 12th :( ) so I'll have trouble dividing my time anyway.

I've beaten BGEE twice, once with a Good character and once with an Evil one. However, the evil character was a fighter/thief, and I don't want him in the same group as Hexxat, so I plan on re-playing BGEE with an evil Cleric/Mage. So, you could say I'm not quite ready, though I do intend to import my good Dragon Disciple immediately upon BG2EE's release.

The short answer - not ready.
The long answer - I'm unfortunately one of the people that found out the hard way about the issue with saves disappearing. The loss of that final save isn't very detrimental though, as I've been intending for some time to take a fighter/thief through as the protagonist, as that fits in well with my planned party of Imoen (with Nalia substituting), Jaheira, Minsc, Aerie, and Neera.

Only just ready! I couldn't play BG:EE until the recent patch, so I've raced through to get a character ready for importing into BG2:EE.

I have ONE completed playthough (archer), but I really wanted about 10 :)

Edit: Actually, dang, I lied. I forgot about a 2 player playthrough I completed with a friend. I also have a Shapeshifter Druid, Bounty Hunter, and Fighter/Thief :O

Edit Edit: Senioritis, I lied again. I have an Avenger Druid, not a Shapeshifter Druid :)

Now I need to get her some boots of speed so she can have a proper Sword Spider form :)

I guess just so long as it's ready by the time we reach ToB :D

Not ready, I have a ton of assignments due in the near future, so I won't be playing BG2EE very much yet.

I wanted to play an archer, but I forgot that they had a reputation restriction and "accidentally" went on a killing spree. So... back to the drawing board.

@Eudaemonium Yep, I am working on it ... should have something by the end of the week. The release time is sooner now, heh.

I took the "75/no reload" challange and I started it yesterday. It will take some time to finish the enitre game not getting killed.

I was planning on completely a couple BGT play throughs before the release. Unfortunately, I've been so busy with work that one of them is stuck midway through ToB (partially because it's the weak link of the series) while the other is in chapter 4 of SoA.

I just started an SCS run. This will be the first time I've attempted a play through with that mod. I'd like to finish it before going on to BG2:EE. However, I will likely purchase it soon after release to play Black Pits 2. I'm looking forward to that!
  • FinneousPJFinneousPJ Member Posts: 6,455
@SirK8 I will probably begin with BP2 too. So excited about it!

    I'm not ready.
I planned on waiting a bit before playing both bgee & bg2ee. Giving them time to implement the new 2ee features into ee, fixing bugs and more mods will be compatible with 2ee if I wait a bit.
X-com expansion and Contrast are released tomorrow so I have enough games to play while waiting.

I'm not, but that's by choice. I didn't play BG:EE for months, as I waited for 1.2 patch to start my game and had previous ones bug-broken. As a result, I didn't finish yet. I'm just getting to the city (BG) and have a way to go, but I'm fine with that. No hurry to get BG2 on my part (although I'm buying a gift of BG2 for somebody very soon - in fact, the only reason I didn't pre-order is that they'll get the email and it would ruin the surprise).

When I'm ready to play it, I'll get it - probably a day or so earlier than that, actually, as I don't want to be ready to click "PLAY" and then sit for the download. I'm not as excited about BG2:EE, as the initial plunge (BG:EE) already happened.

Not ready but soon. I just finished the cloakwood mines with my solo sorcerer. Nice thing about the sorc is that it's not gear dependant so I can rush through most areas.

Is there a list somewhere of the minimum quests you need to do to finish the game? I rarely take a character this far and I have no idea what I can skip in BG.

Not ready, still considering which character to play with, my male gnome cleric/illusionist, or female human Dark moon monk, both lawful Evil. I could play both but theres so many NPCs I want to play with.

I'm sadly not ready. Can't afford to buy any games right now. Soon, though.
