#7077 [CORE] - Dual-Class Import XP Problem

edited February 2014 in BGII:EE Bugs (v1.2.2030)
Near the end of BGI, I Dual-Classed a L10 Swashbuckler who was at the XP cap into a L1 Mage. Upon loading that character into BGII, she was awarded 89,000 XP, as if I had imported a (truly) L1 character into the game. Although this character is in fact only a L1 Mage, she does have 161,000 XP and 10 (currently inactive) levels of Swashbuckler. This character should not qualify for the free XP given to lower-level characters imported into BGII.

Also, it miscalculates the HP total she should have. In this case I'm not talking about the situation others have reported in which HPs are rerolled when a character is imported. That's a problem, but not what I'm talking about here. Importing her with the difficulty slider set to minimum (so that she will get max possible xp), she starts with 24 HPs. She has a 16 Con, and should start at 80 HP (Swashbucker 6 + Con 2 = 8 HP/level for 10 levels). I have puzzled over that 24 HP total and as near as I can guess it is giving her 4 HP for 1 level of Mage + 2 HP/level (ie only the Con bonus) for 10 levels of Swashbuckler. This is not only very wrong, it is also amusingly bizarre if that is in fact what is going on. In any case, the code for calculating HP for imported Dual-Class characters needs to be reviewed.

The BGEE post-patch hit point 2da files, such as hpfc for fighter_clerics which gives 1d9 hit points per level, do not currently exist in BG2EE. I haven't had much time to look into things so far--I actually went to bed last night, strangely enough--but correcting the hit point files shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, presuming they don't swamp me with actual work at work like they did yesterday.

This is a known issue and already has a ticket assigned for the first patch. There was not time to get the fix vetted before release.

@Cuv could you confirm that it was fixed (I recall this (amazingly handful) bug from vanilla)?

I am pretty sure this was fixed in the first patch. Will look into it to verify.

@Cuv nice, which is it bug number, so @Troodon80‌ can tag it?
Going to use my dual-class PCs now in BG2:EE, this will help me to make BG1:EE without farming.
