So the steam release is staggered over the Beamdog client release...?

Yeah cool that makes sense, users that prefer to use steam as there preferred choice of middleware?

When is the game available to download on steam or use on steam? It's teh 15th!

    There's a countdown timer on the BG2EE store page. Currently it says 10 hours.

    Nobody's forcing you to purchase it on Steam, and what's 10 hours compared to a few months like BG1EE?

    More time for BG:EE, what's not to love? ^.^

    Yeah cool that makes sense, give a fuck you to the users that prefer to use steam as there preferred choice of middleware?

    I think its because they don't have direct control over the steam release (i.e. they have to get approval from ATARI and so it has to go through a few more channels and hurdles)

    It is, and it's been up about a thousand times before when people ask from where to buy the game or complain that every release hits steam a bit delayed; most recently when the 1.2 patch for BGEE came out.

    Beamdog != Valve

    Actually I don't think that is true anymore.

    Should be in about 7 hours.

    Want the game early? buy from the developers, not some third party middleware that whittles the net profits from the creators.

    And why is it later you way ask? Overhaul needs to jump through a few more hoops to get it on Valve than their own servers. So ya cool, it does make sense when you actually think about it.

    Time seems to move into opposite direction, because now its 9 hours to go. Oh, and the release date shifted to 16.

    Yea I just noticed that as well. It does say the 15th for me but obviously it would depend upon where you live (I'm Eastern Standard Time)

    Yes I saw this as well! Any reason as to why the steam release has been pushed back? Was it because of what I said? I'm sorry OK, move the release back.

    Release the data, I can't even pre-download.

    Dude if it wasn't for Valve PC Gaming would be in no where as good a condition as it is now. Not to mention how many new devs valve has brought into the industry through green light.
