When you create characters, is there a particular race you don't generally play, haven't gotten round to playing or one that doesn't appeal for any reason? Post you reasons

I have similar problems with Halflings, but at least Lord of the Rings showed me how, with the appropriate equipment, Halflings can make a difference in the big bad world!
I'm quite surprised how many people picked gnome, given that gnomes have something unique for mage multiclasses.
Humans are my favorites because I'm a dual class whore, then elves for archers, halflings for rogues, gnomes for multiclass specialist mages, and half elf for any pure class that the other races cant run.
+dex, but -1str and -1wis is what you get, plus +1TH0 on slings. Four classes to choose from:
- Fighter or Babarian ... needs as much STR as he/she can get, so -STR is a bummer (tank=Dwarf, Damage=Half Orc)
- Cleric ... needs as much WIS as she can get, so -WIS is not very wise (if you can ignore the looks, go dwarf, because a Cleric can always use more HP)
- Thief ... might work, even though STR is part of the melee dmg and is also a part of the sling dmg (which actually adds the STR bonus fully on the slings, hence much more base dmg then even a Composite Bow, if you got decent STR)
The Con extra Saves (up to +5 on some saves) option isn't bad, but if you really want to go that path, why not choose a dwarf?
For the matter, if you need a bonus on a ranged weapon, why not play an ELF, who has +DEX and TH0 on bows and swords? Much more common swords and better selection of ammo.
Gnomes aren't that bad, if you can ignore the looks and the fact that they are forced to be a specialist in illusion. I personally prefer Conjurer any day, which means that gnomes are out of the calculation.
Maybe I shouldn't be surprised, considering their lack of shorty saves, general ugliness/stupidity and complete absence of an enchanting mythology.
Still, I love 'em. And that's what counts.
Because they are the least appealing ones due to their sheer abundance within the games. And they smell funny.
Halflings are clever, capable, and resourceful survivors. They are notoriously curious, and show a daring that many larger people can't match. They can be lured by wealth, but tend to spend rather than hoard. Halflings have ruddy skin, hair that is black and straight, and brown or black eyes. Halfling men often grow long sideburns, but rarely beards or moustaches. They prefer practical clothing, and would rather wear a comfortable shirt than jewelry. Halflings stand about 3 feet tall, and commonly live to see 150.
Legitimate answer, although a single exception is hardly devaluing my statement. I see Kagain managed to escape from the game world and join the forum??
