Why can't I dual class my Kenzai??

I'm playing a Kenzai for baldurs gate 2 and it won't let me dual class him to Kenzai/Mage. Did i do something wrong in hi build that is making me not be able to?

You have a Half-elf. Only humans can dual class. Not trying to be picky, but it's Kensai not kenzai.

You could also install the component in bg2 tweaks that allows non-human dual-classing.

Is there a walkthrough or something for how to use these? I've tried them both and haven't been able to figure it out. The bg2 tweaks sounds very promising! Ps. I'm on a Mac. Thanks for all the help btw! its very nice when people go out of there way to assist someone

and i think your strength needs to be 17+

Nope, 15.

You need a 15 or higher in the class you're dual-classing from, and a 17 or higher in the class you're dual-classing to.

Other than that, yeah, humans are the only ones that can dual-class; BG2Tweaks offers a component to remove that restriction.

You also need to be of an appropriate alignment for both classes, though that doesn't apply here. A Lawful Good Kensai would not be able to dual to a Thief, for example.

I would also consider trying for a higher roll- your strength is going to limit you a bit in melee, and with 17 intelligence you wont be able to scribe the 9th-level spells that make this build so devastating. There's no shame in using EEKeeper to tweak some of these values within reason, especially if you're new to the class

It's 77 points throw. Some people lika a challenge, others try for around 90 points.
