@LordRumfish dammit, it is trouble with textual comprehension by my side. And, to clarify, non of my characters was *really* "buffed" for that fight, those are all item given buffs, exept for those Stoneskins
Once in a while I need a translator with this acronym phenomenon sweeping across the internet. Afaik = As far as I know, IIRC = If I remember correctly, etc. Sometimes I have to mentally stretch when I come across a new one, which seems at odds with the purpose of using an acronym (faster dispensation of knowledge). Is it really so difficult to write out the words? Perhaps those using the acronyms don't have a full keyboard to type with and it really is difficult for them.

There are different schools of thought in this regard. One is to meet expectations (in this case, let's say a romanceable white female who is either human, elven or half-elven) and go with a sure bet and a character who is easy to write and contains few contradictions. Another is to disrupt expectations and go for complexity. I will admit that adding a black female lesbian to the romanceable cast seems a little obvious in an attempt to add affirmative action to the game. Does that mean we should throw our hands up in the air and not bother to try, though? Does it mean we always have to cry "affirmative action" every time a gay person or a racial minority appears in a game? I find her compelling enough. She isn't as over-the-top as a lot of characters, but I appreciate that from a rogue. She knows being a vampire puts some negative focus on her so she plays it low-key. She is a subtle evil, which is a nice change when compared to Korgan or Dorn, or even Edwin (Viconia also likes to be low-key as she realizes being a drow has a similar negative focus). As to contradictions... as I said, most people are a box of contradictions. That just seems realistic, people are often at odds with themselves.
Now then... you can feel free to disagree with me but I don't want to derail this thread entirely. And no, I don't hate you, there is some truth to your words but not enough for me to agree with it.

By "dem buffs" he means "those buffs" as in "those beneficial enhancements in the form of icons scattered across your characters' portraits."
