    I think the plan is to use BG1 avatars and shield sprites.

    The pictures on the site are not final, they will implement the 1pp mod which use bg2 animations with bg1 shield sprites

    Man, I don't know how everyone is dealing with the wait but... I can't wait anymore! I am installing BG1 right now. :-)
