Custom Portraits not appearing

I have a number of portraits I used in BG:EE and from the Portrait thread in general discussion that I have put into the C:\Users\Username\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition\portraits folder and the names of the files appear on the menu but they are all black when selected. I attempted to screenshot it and after jamming PrtScr a number of times there are no files in the \ScrnShot folder either. Win7 64x, no mods, latest patch.

Have you tried a restart? Just asking, because if you add portraits while BG is running then it's like you described.. they are black, but should be there after a restart.

Yes, I've tried restarting, looking at the files in the folder (which appear correctly in ms paint, or microsoft picture viewer, no corruption). I attempted to make new bmps with the BGportrait maker, then I went and pulled the files made by @Dee from http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/151647/#Comment_151647 and none of them will load. Occasionally it will just select the files and show nothing in the images, and other times it will actually lock up and CTD the game. This happens both in SoA and ToB char creation screens.

@zenblack, could it be something to do with the saving of the images (images are required to be 24-bit)?

Could you upload a sample of the portraits that are not working so we can take a look?

So, I did a repair install, same effect. I completely uninstalled all of BG2 EE, deleted the my documents folder then redownloaded entire game and still no dice. Here are some of the test files, they all work in BG:EE. Also if I place them in the override as Woman2 or hexxate, they load fine as well. It's damn annoying.

So I have tried getting the screenshots to work and they will not create any files (This is the beamdog version). I have changed the screenshot button and still no dice. It will create the folder ScrnShot but no files are in the folder in my /mydocument/BG 2 Enhanced Edition/ScrnShot/ folder
