I think I had that issue in the original BG2, but I'm not sure, as it happened 10 years ago.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Ninja-to's usually use the long sword model?

If you read the description of a non-magical ninja-to, it says that it has a straight blade, so IMO the long sword model would make sense.

^Sertorius is correct. If this changed at all, which I don't believe it did, it was an intentional and logical change. Blame the original devs for putting a straight sword in the same proficiency slot as the scimitar just becuase it was 'oriental-seeming'.

Well, technically is Ninja-to and Wakizashi only shorter version of the Katana.
So it should use katana model, not long sword or scimitar.

incorrect. the katana is a curved blade, and the wakizashi typically is also; but the ninja-to is most commonly depicted as being straight.

Looks like a straight blade to me. Still closer to a long sword than a katana.

That depends on the origin and the time when it was made.
Although they were later more popular straighter, originally are Ninja-to's lightly curved.
