I sincerely believe Edwin should refrain from activating his nether scroll on wild magic areas, or that it should be scripted not to be affected by wild magic areas, or there should be a dialogue script for his miserable failure and allow him to try again once he is out of such an area.

He read the scroll and turned into a wolf on my game, and was bugged forever after.

So @Roketter: You had Edwin in the party, he was in a wild magic area and activated the nether scroll
    To turn himself into Edwina
    .

Instead a wild surge happened to him and turned him into a wolf. Question: Does the wild surge go away? Obviously the polymorph effect of the wild surge should go away at some point. You would end up losing the nether scroll, but if this were to happen on a normal spell casting, I would assume the polymorph isn't permanent. Have you slept/waited/dispelled whatever you would typically do to remove the wild magic effect? Does he return?

I'll go ahead and bug this. Can you post up a save for Edwin in the wild magic zone before he initiates his scroll? I realize the results are random and cannot be repoed every time.

Bug Report 7230. It's pretty thin at this point and may get removed since there's going to be a really tough time reproducing this. Any additional information you can give me would be most appreciated.

SWEET, Thanks @Gate70. Will switch this up and mark my post as Dupe.

Aww... sorry I didn't do anything about it, just reloaded... but I think it can be reproduced by just having Edwin take the nether scroll then going to a wild magic area and repeatedly resting after saving the game.

After turning into a wolf he started constantly repeating some of his "stop pestering me" voicelines over and over. I killed him and resurrected him and he was in human form but kept on with his endless speech and wouldn't move or take any command.
