Error No images showing on start up- PC

So running through VMware as PC and when the game starts up the launcher is fine but when you get to the actual game screen it is black with white font that says "Quit" or "options" and "credits" and that is it. You can click on these items and such and it takes you to the appropriate screens but no graphics just text.

Do you see the "buttons" to start SoA, ToB, or the Black Pits II? (I assume not, since they are images that function as buttons.) If not, then can you activate them by clicking where they should be? For example, if you position your mouse cursor over the left edge of the "Credits" button (not over the "C", but farther to the left at the edge of the button itself) and then move the cursor straight up about half the height of the screen you should then be over the "Shadows of Amn" button. Try clicking at that point. Do you then see the screen with Alaundo's quote? Does the Intro Movie begin? At that point you should be hearing the movie audio even if you don't see the images displayed.

No I do not see the buttons. Yes the function properly. No I do not see the intro video. Yes the quote scene happens then back to glorious darkness.

I have the same problem but my screen is white and sort of flickering. I can hear the audio and sort of see the buttons so I can exit the game but not play it. Ideas anyone?

This is an issue with hardware emulation/virtualisation, not an issue with the game itself.

Try using the Start Up Guest (rather than just standard Power On) to start the virtual machine. I have had no problems with that. :)

This is not an issue that we can troubleshoot easily, but there are some obvious steps; ensure your hardware can support virtualisation, ensure that if an option exists for hardware virtualisation in the BIOS that is it turned on, please be sure your hardware meets both the minimum requirements for the game and enough the actually be able to emulate, etc.
