Cant start beamdog client

After the update to BG2EE was released (I have not been able to see it) my beamdog client stopped working altogether. The fist thing that happened was that I got an error message which immediately crashed the launcher before it had a chance to start.
Now (a few days after), when I click the launcher nothing happens, I double click, right click and select run, even as administrator - it doesnt start at all (not even an error message pops up).

It has worked perfectly fine up to and included the release of BG2EE whihc i downloaded and launched successfully (I have played BGEE previously).
I use Vista 32 bit
I am experiencing no other problems with my computer (including running games like skyrim).

All and any help would be appreciated - would like to be able to complete BGEE and start going with BG2EE

@Aristillus Try downloading the client and reinstalling. It shouldn't affect your downloaded games. If in doubt contact support@beamdog.com or message @Dee in the forum.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have already tried that. I will try to message Dee. Thankyou.

Thanks for the help @Dee, Im having problems installing .NET 3.5 - I'm beginning to suspect this is a hardware problem rather than a problem with the client. Thanks for all the help, and Ill just hope Santa can manage to bring along a desktop on his sleigh
