Spellhold/Irenicus battle, Saemon Havarian not appearing/underdark portal door still locked

As title suggests, I've defeated Irenicus in spellhold, but Saemon Havarian is not there to offer a boat trip, nor can I open the door to the underdark portal (still locked).

I've gone throughout both levels of Spellhold and can't find an escape!

If I am to use CLUAconsole, what code should I use to get on Saemons boat pre-githyanki attack? Can't provide a save, I'm at work

    I would create a new Saemon with:

    CLUAConsole: CreateCreature("PPSAEM2")

    Hard to say if this will completely solve your problem though without checking some variables.

    yeah I'll probably give it a go, but like you, I'm not sure the exit dialouge would activate just because he is there...it's almost like it hasn't registered that Irenicus has vacated the building

    Could you provide a save game with this issue, preferably before the Irenicus fight?

    I can't provide a save reasonably close to the fight sorry (I'd just redo the fight if I had a nearby save; amatuer mistake not to have had a save before the fight...use that quicksave too much haha). I'll upload a save post fight when I get home from work in a few hours.

    After you finished and exited the trials, did Saemon approach you and suggest that you should free the other inmates before confronting Irenicus?

    If so, did you allow him to leave or did you force-attack and kill him?

    After you defeated Irenicus, where did you look for Saemon?

    You say that the Underdark portal is still locked. Did you search for the key? If so, where?

    Loaded it, go upstairs, Saemon is there!! booyah! wooo
