Characters reset when leveling up after editing with EE Keeper

I assume this is an easy fix, so how do I go about getting my characters to keep the changes I made to them when they level up?
Also if you missed it in the title, this is for EE Keeper

Your character should not reset entirely, but certain things will. Saving throws, for example, are based on tables in-game. Number of spell slots, as well. Everything else should remain the same. There is no 'fix' for this. You can assign affects to deal with this, if you wish; so rather than hard values they will be bonuses. If you let me know what sort of customisation you want to achieve, I can better advise.

Mostly just spell slots disappearing, I'd rather not have that issue

Would this be fixed through a combination of items or somewhere else in EE Keeper?

@POTOSI, there are two ways to around this, both are almost the same. You can create an item with the affects required which will then apply them to you character when equipped, or apply the affects directly using Keeper. To apply the affects directly, you can follow the instructions as mentioned here.

Bonus slots will be in addition to what you already have. If you have two level four spells slots and you add two via affects, you will end up with four. If you then level up and are granted an additional slot, the bonus applied will mean you have five slots. If you add too many, you may end up with too many slots and not be able to see the memorised spells if you add past the visible range.

Hey @Troodon80 thanks for being so helpful with eeKeeper. I got a question similar to the OP. I changed Mazzy into an Undead Hunter and set her level to zero then leveled her up in the game. Unfortunately she still got level/energy drained when fighting the vampires in Windspear, despite Undead Hunters suposedly being immune.
Is there a way around this?

@booinyoureyes, right now there is no quick and easy way around it. I'll be fixing that in a future build, though I have no idea when that will be right now.

Save your 'good' save game to a new slot, then start a new game as an Undead Hunter and copy all the effects from that character to the save game you want to 'convert.' I've attached a bog-standard Undead Hunter, newly created. If you copy that to your /characters/ directory within the Documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition folder, you can then open it via Keeper and open your save game at the same time (without needing to go through character creation).
