Arcane Scroll Locations?

I can find no reliable list on the internet for BG2 spells unfortunately, the closet thing to it is Mikesrpgcenter.com but it is far from being perfect...and is very non-specific...Does anyone know of somewhere that has all locations for all spells?

I'm looking for

PFMW - Mikesrpgcenter says "Trademeet" i talked to smithy, and everyone in the merchant line, nobody had it.

Minor Spell Sequencer, Spell Sequencer, etc.

I am in Chapter 2...Im doing all the sidequests before i advance

On Waukeen's Promenade is a scroll merchant; Adventurer's has scrolls, in doubt top of Watcher's Keep. I've just been to Trademeet and don't know who is supposed to have any of these spells. The merchants there mostly have weapons and the smithy has a few scrolls, but not these.

Buy them from Lazarus Librarus in Saradush or in Amekatharan :D.
Talking really, Spell Trigger can only be found as random drop in SoA. You can find a Wish scroll that the Gambling Cambion has.

Unless u are doing it for RP, u don't really NEED to find all scrolls.

Most of the late game merchants have a very comprehensive stock. The only scroll I really missed was Freedom...

Funny, that is probably one of the easiest to find...

    @Tresset

I probably 'found it', and didn't buy it in SoA, cos I had 2 MC mages and Imoen, so their level progress was a bit slow, and I didn't read about spells until I had somebody who could cast at that level, and thus didn't buy spells I couldn't cast and/or hadn't read about. Even if I saw Freedom, I probably thought "that sounds crap for a lv9 spell... probably just a glorified all-party Free Movement or something".

And then I didn't visit the Arcana Archives the first time I went to Saradush, cos I thought it was like a library, like a Temple of Oghma...

So yeah, Watcher's Keep, met a demilich... had a problem...

PfMW was one that I only got 2 of in all of SOA (I actually went to every merchant every chest killed like everything and robbed all the guards)... I didn't get it for Imoen until Lazarus. After Lazarus in Saradush, all of my mages had every spell though...

Granted, these are not ALL locations, but should give you pretty good idea where is what :)

You know, this problem kind of emphasizes one of the big advantages of sorcerers over mages - the sorcerer can just pick the super-important, powerful, hard-to-find spells like PfMW without having to search for them or hoping to get lucky.

I think that in P&P you could do a research for spells with access to a library, that should be modded into BG2.

It goes even further if you consider that there are more or less 4-5 really good spells per each level that are worth memorizing. There is a lot of useless scrolls that serve no other purpose than giving you EXP for scribing them into your spellbook. Therefore a sorcerer, even if has access to a lot less spells, doesn't suffer much - he already knows those which are worth knowing.

For the rest, occasionally useful — that's what casting from scrolls is for.

Too bad you can't be a Sorceror Fighter :) One of my favorite combos in NWN was the sorceror RDD fighter.

Would be a neat perk for the mage stronghold. You can already tell your students to create one scroll. Depending on your INT and possibly WIS (as a teacher/mentor, wisdom is important), you could ask for other spells. At least a bit more selection - as illusionist, I can't even use the one spell the stronghold can produce because it's necromancy.

I think you meant to say "the one spell I wanted to use but couldn't", since it can also produce Mislead (lllusion :P) and Meteor Swarm (very dangerous and 100% kill for at least one of your students, but you can still use it).
