Asylum Dungeon, no gem or Golems

I am currently in the asylum dungeon( first part), and both the old game guide and the game banshee walkthrough state that there are Clay Golems in the store room and after defeating them you can get one of the gems needed to complete the portal room quest. When my PC went in the store room he was attacked by several gibberlings and there were no gem in the room. Has anyone run into this ? I have several Mods installed could that be the problem ?

    I doubt it would be the mods... It may just be that you went to the wrong room. Keep looking around and you may find it. There is also a Bag of Holding in that room.

    Will leave this open for another 24 hours or so. If nothing further, I'm going to move this to "Not an Issue".

    If anyone runs across this thread post 2/14/14 sometime, @ me and I'll move it.

    Tresset was right , I had the wrong room,( been a long time since I played this), sorry for the bother.
