DBH - Damage By Hit ( or something like this )

We already have THACO to show us how big is ours chance to hit.
But if we hit, how big damage we can do ?

1 - 8
+2 from magic sword
+1 from sword power
+4 from strength
+2 from kit
+3 from weapon specialization
+2 from gauntlets
etc.

Can we get new indicator DBH under THACO what just show us:
DBH = 15 - 22

    That would be useful, yes. It's one of the that would make the day of many either common players or even newcomers (since the damage system is a mystery to me still nowadays XD )

    Agreed! This would be a great feature, Even if it has to be a post-ship update.

    I agree this should be a feature. It's often time consuming to determine the damage of a given weapon, to even get an estimate you must examine all of your equipment and abilities.

    Planescape Torment proved that this can be implemented fairly easily, and I sincerely hope that we will see this in the Enhanced Edition.

    I'm for any request that gives more in game, readily accessible information. I'd also add to this that temporary modifiers--for example from buffs and special abilities--be included. This should include not only damage (e.g. from berserk) but also from special effects (like knock back from--smite was it?)

    This request jives perfectly with my request for ability descriptions

    Yeah it's a good idea. SW:KOTOR had it in the equipment screen. I think it would be better in the inventory screen, so you can see how it changes when you equip different things, like how your AC is displayed there.

    As someone who has a very thorough understanding of how damage works in 2e DnD, I agree that this would still be a great time saver and be very helpful for everyone.

    @Edwin
    I don't have a direct line to the developers. Only they know the features that they want to implement.

    Well... then we must hope.

    I believe I read somewhere (either twitter or an interview with @TrentOster) that this has been implemented.

    @decado
    Really ? That is excellent news !

    BTW: If you ( or someone else ) find link on that information it will be even better.

    @Edvin

    Try this;

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/08/30/baldurs-gate-developer-says-industry-dumbs-games-down-underestimates-gamers/

    Specifically where it says "Better still for video gamers itching for a tabletop-like experience, Oster notes that they’ve “added the calculations which are used for AC, HP, THAC0 and weapon damage to the sheet.”
