Anyone here have ever sold Edwin to Degarden?

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I mean, for the reward... I know that he is an amasing aquisition for your party and there is no money that would pay for losing soch a powerfull companion, but, well... I was playing evil last time and decided to REAL roleplay. Also, I found the line of dialogue so f**** funny; something like "Oh, did you mentioned a reward? Why haven't you said this before... see that woman there? it is him!" and then to see the prig killed by his nemesis, in the shape of a girl... so humiliating and sadistic... anyone ever tried that?

    Yeah, I did. I was doing the quests of all the npcs I wasn't using and Edwin's just took too damned long. So I got bored, and ratted on him.

    Well, I was chaotic neutral so guess that's as good an excuse as any.

    I did before he even mentioned a reward! But Degarden killed one of my party with an area effect spell, so I reloaded and decided to keep Edwina. Then when Degarden came back I killed him before he finished transforming Edwina... Edwina still acted like the quest was resolved though.

    I was Neutral Evil... think this is more to a chaotic decision but well, neutrality has no preferences in the end. It is the ultimate way to be evil.

    I did on my first play through, naively thinking I could go and save him later...

    ...Oh well... saved Dynahier in BG and Imoen in BG2... 2 out of 3 ain't bad...
