@Roller12: I support the removal of an xp cap in BG2, because you hit that cap damn early if you do all the side quests. The HLAs do kinda break the game a little. My archer's whirlwhind killed anything in 1 round (but not 1 shot). Was fun but not balanced. But at that insane level, fun is hard to come by, so I'll take it!
But in BG1, I don't need the cap removed - though I don't have a problem with others doing so. Cap removal tended to benefit some of my classes more than others. To a Sorceror, a removal of the XP cap lets you learn high-level spells for which there are no scrolls in the game! In comparison, mages start to get access to spell levels for which they have no scrolls. Mages would need more options, as they gain relatively little benefit from leveling.
