Hi!
I'm a long time paper and pen D&D'er but relatively new to video games. I was aware of Baldur's Gate when I was in high school but I never really picked up video games until after grad school when I was living on my own for the first time, had a lot of down time, and started playing World of Warcraft.
A friend sold me on Baldur's Gate a few weeks ago and I've been completely blown away by the complexity and storyline since I started playing. I purchased Baldur's Gate II too and, although I'm told that's even better, I can't figure out when I'm even going to start it because all I keep thinking about is going through BG again with a new party and alignment. It's easy to see why this game is still so relevant so long after it's original release.
Anyway, hello and happy questing!
