idiot proof help for installing mod on Mac please? (SCS)

YgramulYgramul Member Posts: 1,060
SCS installation instruction simply says:
"On Mac OSX, follow the above instructions, except that you should click on setup-SCS.command, and then drop the ".exe" suffixes."
which is beyond useless.

Could someone kindly please give a total noob a hand and tell how to install mods (specifically SCS) on a Mac?

Step 1: Find your BG2EE "Resources" folder. Usually, your install is at /Applications/Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition/Game Data/00782/. You should see an app there, named "BaldursGateIIEnhancedEdition.app". Right-click on that, choose "show package contents," and go into /Contents/Resources/. Put the Mac Mod Installer app in that folder.

Step 2: Unarchive the latest version of SCS (i.e., OSX-strategems-v28.rar). Copy the folder "stratagems" (inside the folder expanding the archive creates) to the BG2EE Resources folder.

Step 3: Get a copy of Mac WeiDU here: http://www.weidu.org/~thebigg/.

Unzip the archive and choose the right set of binaries. If you have OSX 10.9, use the weidu+mavericks binary, if you have 10.6-10.8, use the weidu+snowleopard binary. Copy the binary to the BG2EE Resources folder, and rename it "weidu".

Step 4: Download the Mac Mod Installer script here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/80058200/BG Mac mod installer v2_1_MODIFIED.zip

Unzip and copy to the BG2EE Resources folder.

Step 5: Double-click the Mac Mod Installer app to run it.
