Multiplayer Bug - Unable to interact with anything

I'm trying to play a multiplayer game (me with my steam game, his game from beamdog) and I am simply unable to interact with anything. I can't open doors, initiate conversations or anything. It makes no difference if I'm the host or not. My friend is able to interact with stuff, the problem only affects me.
Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?

    @georgewchubby, what version are you both using (I assume if he is using Steam, then you are not using the public beta)? Are either of you using mods?

    Can you send me a PM to arrange a test game at your earliest convenience?

    We're both using version 1.2.0, not sure if that's the correct number.

    I'll be around for the next 11 hours or so, just let me know what to do.

    Yes, that´s the latest version. Bad luck I can´t join to test too, since I´m not home now.
