Some general questions about spells, importing characters etc.

I have some questions regarding the BG:EE and BG2:EE. Thank you!

First off, is it possible to import your character from BG1:EE to BG2:EE as per the vanilla Baldur's Gate series?

Secondly, does the spell "Spell Immunity: Divination" in BG2:EE protect your character from True Sight and the like of which dispels the effect of e.g. "Mislead", "Project Image", "Simulacrum" etc.?

Thirdly, is it possible to export the portraits and/or soundsets of BG1:EE into BG2:EE?

Background: I wish to play through BG1:EE with my mage, but only if it's possible to continue into the Shadows of Amn and the Throne of Bhaal without having to "recreate" the character. I think that the enhanced editions of the Baldur's Gate series are very well made and big thanks to the developers.

Best regards

    1. It is possible to export your character, or import from a saved game, but both options require that you do some copy and pasting - as per the original.
    2. As far as I am aware, it protects. I've tried it out with Mislead and then scripting the True Sight spell to apply to the character and it states "Spell Ineffective." It will dispel the mislead copy, however, but your character will/should remain invisible.
    3. Portraits are easy enough to copy, but sounds are more or less unknown to me. Either way, it cannot be done from inside the game. Given that people have made custom sounds sets before, one can say for certain that it is entirely possible. For portraits, it can be done with the help of an application such as Near Infinity or EE Keeper. Portraits can be exported using Keeper, and when the portrait has been exported to the portraits directory you can then copy the entire /portraits/ directory from the first game to the second. It has been requested before on the forum that the portraits and sounds be made available in both games. I know nothing about this or its progress, if any, though.

Yes, yes and yes for the last one if you put the portraits and soundsets in the right place in bg2.

@Troodon80 Perhaps this thread should be merged with the one in General Discussion? No need for them to be separate.
