Current state of Wizard Slayer

OK, so I know that the class is being patched such that it bestows the spellcast failure chance upon melee and ranged hits, but what is the state of this in BG:EE and BGII:EE? I get the feeling there's currently a disrepency. Also, I'm playing on a Mac if that matters.

It looks like the wizard slayer's ranged attack currently does inflict spell failure in BG1:EE v1.2 (the public version) and BG1:EE v1.3 (that would be the open beta) but not in BG2:EE v1.2. Beyond this I can only say that eventually both games will have wizard slayers that inflict spell failure with ranged weapons. Anything more will have to come from a developer.

You can follow @AstroBryGuy‌'s tutorial to installing weidu mods in Mac or just use an emulator like wineskin.
Or you can play without the mod also...
