Favorite Gnome?

Firstly, sorry if this has been done already. Second, out of the three Gnome characters in the un-modded BG saga, which one do you guys think is the most interesting/fun to have in a party? (Gameplay considerations can be used as reasons)

I ask out of mere scientific curiosity, as well as a love for all things Gnome ;)

I have a feeling Quayle might not win this one...

    Its going to be head to head between those two... I should have included a fourth option for people who hate/ never use Gnomes

    Never played with Tiax, and it looks like I wont do that again in my canon BGEE playthrough, because of Dorn's inclusion.

    I quite like Gnomes, however I hate their implementation in BG... So best of a bad bunch is clearly Tiax.

    I used to like Quayle first, don´t know why.
    Tiax of course rules, but I wonder who took him into the party gameplay wise.
    So Jan Jansen wins, because he was really usable character and funny also. Even though I hated that sound he made when got hit.

    Wow a lot of love for Jan... I never could finish a playthrough with him. Tiax was a riot of fun.

    I voted for Jan but I'm not a big fan of gnomes. I've got Jan in my party at the moment but only because I need a thief and he was the only option left. I've managed to get both Nalia and Yoshimo killed off and Imoen is still stuck in Spellhold.

    Yeah the game tries to force you into Jan if you are playing evil, needs another evil thief

    I choose Jan. He never lasted much in my party, though.

    Jan, but only because I've never had the other two in my party for longer than time to check their stats and equipment. Also, I didn't like their portraits and when I first started playing BG, anyone with a portrait I didn't like didn't make it in my party. When I try out BG:EE, I'll definitely be checking out all the NPCs I ordinarily didn't use.

    As a big gnome fan, I never cared how they were portrayed by the NPC's in BG1. I much prefer Jan. He was my main thief, had some decent spells, and enjoyed his banter!
