Removing unremovable items

I haven't really used the console cheats but after getting tired of everyone walking so slowly I created Drizzit's boots, which apparently was a no-no. I'm unable to remove them and, since I created them for everyone in my party, it's taking up an entire row of slots.

Is it possible to remove these?

Maybe I should add that I'm on a mac.

I'm not sure if that will make a difference.

I think you have to use a save game editor of some sort to remove these sorts of items.

And the real Boots of Speed are named BOOT01
