Barad Ding 8 cats

in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
I received this quest from Barad, i have the food for cats but i can't pick them up. What should i do?

    The voices inside my head make it clear there is only one solution:

    Kill them.

    You can't pick them all up at once. If you try, they will start to run away. I think I did multiple runs of 2-3 cats at a time.

    I can't pick a single cat. I click on cat and say " it has nothing to say to me".

    you need to equip the food, click on it and then the cats. You can actually get all 8 at once, but it is a pain (i did it my first time)

    Also if you look close they are named after the eight schools of magic :)

    If I recall correctly you need to put the cat food you're given in your quickslots. When a cat is near you click it, and the cat will come to you. They will escape, get used to it. Arguably you need at least 20 cat food to complete the quest in one go.

    Thx guys, it worked with the food equipped. Damn cats, so annoying.
    I have another quest in that area, Wilson the bear, where do i find it?

    First thing is that you need Rasaad in your group. After that the quest becomes a bit more complicated. I'm trying not to delve into it too much for spoiler reasons.

    Wilson is not in that area. You will find him later on in an area related to Rasaad.

    When you meet him you will understand why he is so radical. Beware though. He may bite.

    The first time I did this quest while beta testing I legitimately did it. Now I just console in the cats. They are just too much of a pain to deal with :D
