Racial thief skills.

Human :

+10% Open Lock
+5% Find Trap
+15% Pick Pocket
+10% Move Silent
+5% Hide in Shadow

= 45%

Elf :

+5% Open Lock
+5% Find Trap
+20% Pick Pocket
+15% Move Silent
+15% Hide in Shadow

= 60%

Half Elf :

10% Pick Pocket
5% Hide in Shadow

= 15%

Is there something I've missed here?

    Its a known issue. Mechanically nothing has changed its just an error with the descriptions.

    What would be the real description for Half-Elf? And what about Half-Orcs? They don't have any at all.

    Half Elf should state the following:

    +10% Open Locks, +5% Find Traps, +25% Pick Pockets, +10% Move Silently, +10% Hide in Shadows.

    Halfling should state the following:

    +15% Open Locks, +10% Find Traps, +20% Pick Pockets, +20% Move Silently, +20% Hide in Shadows.

    Half-Orc should state the following:

    +10% Open Locks, +5% Find Traps, +15% Pick Pockets, +10% Move Silently, +5% Hide in Shadows.

    They should've just list the actual racial bonus for thieving skills, without the starting 10% bonus of each skill. This made the whole thing needlessly complicated imho.

    I'm assuming the idea was to show why humans don't start with nothing (if you have say 10 dexterity).

    In AD&D 2E, thieves start with a certain level of base scores. These scores are modified by Dexterity and race, and then the 1st level thief gets points to distribute. Human's racial bonuses are 0% (i.e., they take the base scores, "as is").
    Table 26: Thieving Skill Base Scores
    Skill Base Score
    Pick Pockets 15%
    Open Locks 10%
    Find/Remove Traps 5%
    Move Silently 10%
    Hide in Shadows 5%
    The "racial bonuses" of other races in PnP would be bonuses/penalties compared to the base scores, which is what the half-elf is showing. BGEE is apparently showing base+racial bonuses for some races and just racial bonuses for others.

    I know. Which is why the base % shouldn't be listed within the race description at all.

    Playithardcore has a complete list of the racial thieving skills, but it looks like the site is down at the moment ...
