kensai questions

I just recently started playing bgee1. I wanted to play a kensai. I picked 2h weapon and 2h speciality.. Do they stack? Or do I just get 1 benefit? Im kinda new to this. Would it be best to play 2 weapons or 2h with the kensai?

Either Two-Handed Style or Two-Weapon Style are viable options for a kensai, but I think more people prefer the Two-Weapon Style.

Which set of bonuses apply depends on which weapon(s) you're wielding at the time.

Yes. If wielding a two handed sword, you get bonuses for both the specific weapon proficiency & the fighting style.
Two handed weapons are perfectly viable, and include some of the most powerful weapons in the game (swords, halberds & staves have nice options).

2-handed swords is a weapon of choice and 2-handed weapons is a fighting style. You get bonuses from the 2-handed weapons fighting style to all 2-handed weapons in the game, 2-handed swords included.
