ofcourse there's a bunch of gods I like. But, unfortunately none of those are selectable in bg either. It kinda sucks for me. I never get to play clerics in bg thanks to the choices on offer despite it being one of my favourite fantasy classes
Although my fighter/cleric is a dwarf, I've always thought of him as a follower of Deneir, god of literature and scribes. Having grown up in the library and under the guidance of those seeking to push him away from his potentially natural tendencies (no spoilers), he might be encouraged to pursue good, holy studies, and it seems like a priest or two of Deneir would be the most likely to be around fitting that bill from time to time. Of course his other gravitation is towards fighting, which they do have soldiers around for him to pick up a thing or two from.
What weapon proficiency does the seeking sword use? Also is the APR/Damage affected by Specialization/Mastery. If so I can see a CoH - Fighter duel in the near future!

I don't think it uses any specific weapon proficiency? And i have no idea about the later either, I've only ran pure clerics of Helm.
This is from my Priest Playthrough, with a single class cleric of Helm. It shows what a low level (8-9) cleric of Helm can do with DuHM and the Sword of Seeking.

The sword itself is a bastard sword but the spell doesn't actually use your own proficiencies for it. You are treated as being proficient (*) but nothing more. If you were to have specialization in bastard swords, which I suppose would be possible for a dual class, from what I recall it would not affect your damage/apr with the spell.
@Blackraven Not at all! It's a nice reminder for me to not be lazy and actually do it. XD This trip left me tired and confused, apparently. I just realized it was already Tuesday and thought "Oh crap! I need to do the poll!"
I haven't had enough experience with the cleric kits to comment on which is actually the best, but from an RP perspective, I like the Helm because it best represents the image of the "warrior priest" IMO.
Still waiting on that Cleric of Tyr kit, Beamdog...
Its already in the game and has descriptions for its kit as well as its abilities. I wouldn't put it past any wily modders to merely make it selectable at character generation.
It always weirds me out going back and forth between Elder Scrolls and Talos the warrior-saint god of man and Forgotten Realms and Talos the crazy lightning jerk god.
Edit: don't even get me started on FR Oghma, god of knowledge and ES Oghma, god of knowledge, also insanity, being a demonic squid, and eating your brain
What turns a man neutral, you say? MANY, things. Especially discoveries concerning the "good" and "goodness" you once worshipped and believed into. And how others define, follow and uphold "good", around you. You can even loose your faith in humanity, in all but an instant, should you ever find out, observe, notice, or simply suspect of and try to double-check, even the tiniest of details and the most trivial of facts lying around you, hidden in broad daylight and plain eyesight...
Oh, and "good", or good people, should not search for enemies around them. Most of the times, their greatest enemy, is the invisible, invincible, and intangible one, from within... Especially if and when it is blindfolded, and/or follows the words of others unquestionably...

I like Milil as well, and Kelemvor, Oghma, and some of the demi-human gods.
In the game, I think cleric of Lathander shows the archetypical cleric, but the cleric of Talos is quite fun.

2.) There are many quests with focus on helm in the game, the stronghold and watcher's keep.
3.) Helm has a very interesting personality, it's either hate or like compared to Lathander which is hard to dislike.
4.) It's the most powerful cleric kit in the game. Boon has nothing on that Sword.

I hate these filthy neutrals Demonoid_Limewire! With enemies you know where they stand, but with neutrals? Who knows! It sickens me.
What makes a man turn neutral? Being born in Switzerland ^^
