Behavior: Game hangs and requires closing through Task Manager when loading the intro movie.
Additional information that might help: Launcher works fine. Tutorial loads correctly, allows selection of character, dialogue works fine, etc. The problem occurs when clicking "Baldur's Gate", to enter New Game/Load Game/Etc screen. Screen immediately goes black and enters "Not Responding..." status. Same when clicking Black Pits. This is a fresh install, no mods (or even custom portraits). Windows 7, 64-bit, Intel i5 with an nVidia Geforce 440 graphics card.
Expected behavior: When clicking "Baldur's Gate", game should enter New Game/Load Game/Options screen.
Somebody reported something similar on Android and it seems it was caused by the inability to play the movies proprely. Disable videos as explained in this topic and see if you can workaround the issue.
Since you have a dual graphic configuration, you may start by following advices from this topic to enforce using the nVidia card when the game is launched.

Forcing the videos to not play worked! Everything's good now. Thanks!
