Inputs for a New Monster - the Bewbolder
In honor of all the bewbage on the unrealistic fantasy armor thread started by @LadyRhian, I present here a template for a new monster - the BEWBOLDER!
Here, I seek the inputs of forum players. The original concept of this monster is that of a beholder-kin - just as a beholder is a floating eyeball of death and destruction, so a bewbolder is a pair of flying bewbs of death and destruction... go figure. As I gather more input based on the... *active imagination* of forum players, I can... *flesh out* this monster. Obviously, not all ideas can be implemented, but I will do what I can. Alternatively, after the inputs are in, some of us can volunteer to write up various segments of the monster description to make it a genuine forum creation.
Here is the monster entry format used in the 2E Monstrous Manual. I will fill in what I know, subject to change:
BEWBOLDER

CLIMATE/TERRAIN: Any (bewbs can be found anywhere, according to fantasy artists)

So there. What do the forum players think?

.... I'll go hide now.
I was reading the Monstrous Manual appendices and there is a symbiotic creature called the Vizier's Turban, from the al-Qadim setting. No kidding. It actually attaches itself to a mage and acts as his headdress, and it imparts minor powers to him while attached. Similarly, a Bewbolder can be a symbiotic creature that attaches itself to willing women...
Perhaps the artistically-inclined among us can illustrate a prototype of the Bewbolder, then we will write based on it.

Boob monster… Lactating on people… As I recall, it was confined in a bra, and its milk used to feed babies at an orphanage...
As for the shape of the bewbolder, it can either be two independent bewbs joined by a single stalk, or it might just be a dumbbell-shaped blob that can change its shape when attacking physically, like some amoeboid pseudupod. The nipples can be the eyes. I'm not sure about the rest of the biology - more inputs needed LOL
It might also be possible to have a pair of bewbs for the body (instead of an eyeball), and there are retractable bewb-stalks instead of non-retractable eyestalks for beholders. The usual form of this version of the bewbolder would be that of a pair of floating bewbs. When attacked, it unleashes multiple bewb-stalks that rain death and destruction on its enemies.
OMG it looks ghastly XD
You can google "Hantu Tetek" and see what you get out of it
Though, there are worse things you could google. In fact, I'm pretty sure "chainmail" get more explicit results.
@jacobtan the BewbHolder I was picturing was a creepy dude with really big hands.
In other news, this topic is dangerously close to going straight downhill.
This topic can be successfully carried to completion if we stay focused. I think I should do a full write up quickly
OK well there's really only one way I can think of to create a creature out of breasts, and that would be to place them back to back, to form a vaguely spherical creature with a nipple on each side. Given the lack of other distinguishing marks, these would probably have to be eyes, or perhaps make one a mouth/nose/eye/face, and the other reproductive/waste organs (Sorry to be so limited by the designs favoured by our particular subkingdom).
Obviously it would elongate with age, until it reaches the deadly sausage-shaped stage, where both sides can swing together and crush/suffocate enemies between them.
It would probably have to roll initially, although as it ages it may be able to move like an inchworm as well. If you are happy to let them magically levitate, this solves a couple of things.
Problems abound, not least how it eats or mates, and I assume this is only the female, but please dear god let's not design the male
Your avatar picture is more suitable monster methinks.
(Introduction)
The bewbolder is a distant relative of the beholder. However, it looks very different from the beholder - it appears as a pair of giant floating breasts with retractable appendages, with a tiny breast-like lump of flesh at the end of each appendage. Usually (90% of the time encountered), to facilitate its dealings with humanity, it will use an innate illusion ability to disguise itself as a beautiful woman (of any race) with huge breasts, dressed scantily for titillation rather than modesty. When appearing in its true form (10% of the time encountered), a bewbolder will keep its appendages hidden unless expecting trouble, so to an observer, it simply looks like a pair of floating, disembodied breasts.
Despite the differences in external appearance, the bewbolder is just as evil as its more famous kin, and seeks to dominate the civilized world by manipulating humans (especially amorous or promiscuous men) to do its bidding. It is suspected by the few sages who know of its existence that it was created by the elder gods as a cruel joke on humanity, a mockery of the lechery exhibited by many men throughout the ages.
(Combat)
In combat, the bewbolder is as terrifying a foe as any other beholder-kin. If the bewbolder attacks physically while maintaining its illusory form, the first attack automatically hits. The "breasts" comprising its main body appear to split apart at the centre, revealing two gaping maws that it can use to make biting attacks. Each maw can attack once per round for 1d4 piercing damage. The bewbolder may also slam itself into an enemy as a third attack in a round, dealing 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
When attacked, the bewbolder may instantly sprout 10 appendages from its main body. These appendages have the same powers as beholder eyestalks, channelled through the "breasts" at the end. The main body has no anti-magic ability, but can throw a powerful Charm on enemies every round. On a failed save vs. spell, a target becomes hopelessly smitten by the bewbolder, and acts as if Dire Charmed for 2d6 turns. Males of any race save at a -4 penalty, but females receive a +2 bonus. Bewbolders are well aware of the power of their Charm ability, and use it preferentially over all other attacks.
Once every turn, the bewbolder may also spray a jet of organic acid (suspected to be lactic acid) at an unfortunate target. On a failed save vs. breath weapon, the target suffers 2d4 acid damage. This damage cannot be regenerated and must be recovered by normal means. The acid is also foul-smelling, and imposes a -1 penalty to attack rolls for another 1d6 rounds before the stench dissipates.
Except as noted above, bewbolders are treated as beholders for the purpose of combat, including use of appendages, damage required to destroy appendages or the main body, and recovery of lost appendages.
