    On that note, I think a fitting habitat would be remote tropical islands.

    Naturally any such creature with a 4-6' diameter would have crippling lower back problems and likely reduced movement.

    Perhaps there is some chemical reaction in the creature that produces helium for an... uplifting effect. Or... hydrogen. KABOOM!
