Lycanthropy question

I didn't come prepared to take on the GWW, so took the easy option of just attacking the village on Werewolf Island, and then killed the Loup Garou on the boat with no problems. I don't recall being told I was infected with Lycanthropy by Kaaisha. I then got off the island, and didn't learn about the lycanthropy infection until I went to see Mendas. By not seeing Mendas and not being told by Kaaisha that I have lycanthropy, have I circumvented the curse? I've no way of checking variables/saves as I'm on iPad with no PC. I've slept multiple times since then with no issues. In Ulgoth's Beard.

    You probably did circumvent the curse. I think it is only given if you dialog with Kashias.
