Turning BG2 into a strategy game. Literally. Summoning a huge army.

I recently rekindled my favorite cheese parade in BG2 original. This is the ultimate trick for making a huge army, out of only your mere protagonist. It consists of 16 clones and 20 planetars, while your main character sits happily away invisible and waits for the slaughter to begin and end... Your clones can carry sequencers and spell triggers, if you bothered to make some before you summon them, but they are unusuable (do nothing when you use them). So, you fill a page with project images (or to be precise, four casts of them), and another page of simulacrums, leaving only 1 spare spell slot there for spell trigger (or any other spell you like; 1 more simulacrum won't do anything, it is only going to needlessly occupy 1 spell slot). Last page should have 1 wish, 2 planetar, and 1 chain contigency. Rest and...

1) Chain contigency on your main, conditions are: Helpless, myself. Spells are: Project Image x 3.
2) Contigency. Conditions are: Helpless, myself. Spell is: Improved Invisibility.
3) Cast Project Image. 1 clone is spawned. After 5 seconds, 3 more follow (from contigency).
4) Assemble them in a row of four. Have them all cast simulacrum simultaneously. A new row of 4 simulacrums is summoned.
5) Have the four projected images, right after casting simulacrums, cast one planetar each, right behind each and every simulacrum they created, in nicely formed rows.
6) Have the planetars use lesser restore on the 4 simulacrums, and click+drag the planetars away.
7) Have the simulacrums create a new row of their own, new simulacrums. Then, summon one planetar from each old simulacrum, right next to each new one, and have them lesser restore them all.
8) Repeat happily until you reach a group of 16 protagonist copies (4 projected images and 12 simulacrums), all in nice rows, like a regiment. Proceed to have the second casting of the projected images' planetars summoned. You now should have a 20 planetars mass.
9) Spread them towards all direction and watch them obliterate everything on sight. Have all planetars cast the Globe of Blades beforehand, to make the most out of them. Imagine (and even see in action for yourself), 16x fireballs right on your enemies' face, 16x cloudkills, 16x sunfire, etc. Nothing survives that.
10) Your projected images can cast wish, so you can have a chance at those good effects even mid-combat (the rest-like one, though, seems to have effect only upon the incapacitated protagonist who hides away).
11) If you are tired of this, cast some true sights and dispels around. Planetars still remain though.

I have only one question... "Can you still do this in 2EE"???

That sound like something they would have fixed. They're ruining all the good cheese. Drizzt will see through invisibility soon!!

Ouch. I see. But what is good cheese, anyway? All cheese is good. Only connoiseurs can evaluate and enjoy it properly, that is... Now, please, pass me a glass of wine, and gimme back all of my beloved cheese... Me no like balance.

Does this mean the Whispers of Silence (non-detection) cloak will actually serve a purpose in BG1? Backstabbing Drizzt :)
I don't believe that applies to an innate ability to see through invisibility (which is what Drizzt will have).

I think you could try doing something alike this... But completely different at the same time... Summon a giant army of enemies and kill them for the XP! (like what I've done here and I am shamelessly promoting).

Why is Drizzt given this innate ability? Is it a Drow thing? If so, will Viconia also get this ability?

Because he's Drizzt and it's not enough to shove him down our throats, breaking all semblance of immersion. He also has to Mary-Sue it up.

He was actually trained in blind-fighting. Relying on other senses and what-not. Just be glad he doesn't have his Astral cat...
