Detect Evil Mage spell in level 2 for mage

Apparently this spell is for level 1 and its in level 2 list.

    For mage it is supposed to be level 2; for priest it is supposed to be level 1. I am sure the descriptions will be updated in the next patch.

    then why don't you just use know alignment then it seems to be more effective?

    Actually, I think thst has a save.

    I remember using Detect Evil in Vanilla as Tracking no doubt should work, to find out how many meanies were looking for me in the dark. Best use for Ajantis imo.
