No sound card on this pc

Hello all,

I have a question: can BG2 starts without a sound card installed? Is it necessary to launch the game?
I explain my problem: I haven't a sound card installed in the personal computer of my shop (Windows 7, 32 bit, geforce 210). When I launch the game and I click on Shadows of Amn icon, the game crashes. I try all the video settings suggested, but nothing. So now I think that the problem could be the absence of sound card.

If I disable my speakers and headphones the game freezes on with a black screen when clicking SoA. Hope that helps.

If your computer has a jack for headphones, try plugging in a pair and see if the game launches. I believe we'll have this sorted in the next patch, but mean-while that might help you to play at least.
