Want to switch Mage out for Sorcerer

AmaraAmara Member Posts: 2
I have near infinity and am trying to find a way to change the multiclass option so that I can use a sorcerer in place of a mage for the options that include mage. Any advice on how to do this, or someone just making a mod to do this would be great.

Sorry, not possible. Sorcerers cannot multi- or dual-class (neither can bards, monks, or paladins).

The game engine only allows the following multi-/dual-class options:

    FIGHTER_MAGE
    FIGHTER_CLERIC
    FIGHTER_THIEF
    FIGHTER_MAGE_THIEF
    MAGE_THIEF
    CLERIC_MAGE
    CLERIC_THIEF
    FIGHTER_DRUID
    FIGHTER_MAGE_CLERIC
    CLERIC_RANGER

There is a mod that allows sorcerers and barbarians to dual but I don't know if its compatible with EE.

Barbarians are implemented as a fighter-kit, so with a tweak, they can dual-class to any combination open to fighters (e.g., FIGHTER_MAGE, FIGHTER_THIEF, etc..). This is actually implemented in the BG2 Tweaks mod (and for wild mages too).

AFAIK, there are no mods that dual-classing of sorcerers for BG2/EE. There was a sorcerer-monk multiclass mod for GemRB, but it required editing files that are not editable in BG2/EE.
