So is BG sharing with ID too?

Since mechanics/classes/races/etc. that go into either enhanced BG is also shared with the other one on account of them using the same engine, will this also be the case for Icewind Dale? I assume the answer is yes, but it would be nice to hear.

I'm not sure what specific question you're really asking here. If it's whether the kits and races from BG:EE will also be in IWD:EE, then the answer is yes.

To be more spesific: say you add a new class kit (Pancake Chef) to BG:EE after ID:EE's release, will it then port to ID? Or the other way around. It would be odd to give ID playable Demigorgon Pancake Chefs, but not also let BG have them.

Ah, I see.

It's difficult to say with certainty; any new class or kit would need to be thoroughly tested to make sure it plays nicely with the other classes. But that would certainly be the goal, and the new EE kits will certainly be in IWD:EE at release.
